ASTech is a Research Partner in the FutureSME project.

FutureSME is a major pan-European project involving 26 partners from Ireland, UK, Italy, Turkey, Poland, Sweden, Czech Republic and Slovakia. Supported by a €6m grant from the EU Framework 7 programme, the project will deliver a set of practical tools and methodologies which will assist European small and medium size enterprises (SMEs) to reach and maintain worldwide competitiveness. It will provide a strategic and operational framework to help companies involved in complex supply chains to optimise their business processes in terms of time, cost, quality and sustainability. Ultimately, it will deliver a model for successful small businesses in the future.

More than 50% of the partners are small companies across a range of sectors and types. The University of Strathclyde is the overall project coordinator.
